STOCut — cut smarter. Get more from your stock.
STOCut is browser-based nesting and cutting-plan software for busy sheet shops. Nest rectangular or square parts on the sheets and offcuts you already have — wood, laminate, stone, metal, plastic — stretch your stock further, use profiles already on the slab, and profit from waste instead of losing usable remnants between jobs.
Why shops use STOCut
- Get more from your stock — nest on warehouse sheets and remnants, not only a fresh catalogue size
- Stretch your stock further — leftovers return to the catalogue with their finished edges
- Cut smarter — auto-rotate parts, use profiles on the slab, share cut lines, fewer saw passes
- Profit from waste — higher yield, fewer emergency orders, less remachining
What STOCut is
- Sheet cutting optimiser / nesting tool (2D rectangles and squares)
- Warehouse catalogue — CSV import, searchable list, Sage/ERP full names and stock codes
- Real-stock nest including remnants; search stock onto jobs
- Edge-aware placement (Front, Back, Left, Right finishes); profile-first packing
- Complete job workflow — preview nest, deduct stock, save remnants, reprint layouts anytime
- Auto-rotate parts to fit; per-part lock when grain must stay fixed
- Job exports: CSV cut list, buy list, parts, Excel-friendly sheets, simple DXF
- Linear bar/trim cutting in the same workshop
- Printable branded saw sheets (PDF) and a separate after-cut profile list
- Works on PC or Mac in the browser — no install
How it differs from blank-sheet nesting software
Typical tools pack parts onto a new catalogue sheet. STOCut nests on the stock in your warehouse, prefers finished edges when a part needs them, writes leftovers back with their remaining finishes, and saves layouts for reprint after the job is complete — so shops stop losing paid edge work and usable offcuts between jobs.

Phil Stone, Residential & Trade Sales Director at Irish Stone (Northern Ireland & Republic of Ireland). He used other cutting plan software, still lost remnants, and built STOCut for the shop problem blank-sheet tools miss. More about Phil.
